Developer. Architect. Product builder.

Building useful software is what I do.

I’m Bill Milstead. Over 26 years, I’ve built hundreds of products for the companies I’ve worked with, turning complex ideas into software people actually use. Now I’m building my own, too.

Always building.

Things I’ve put into the world.

Products and websites I’ve designed, built, and continue to improve.

From first idea to real product.

I like the whole problem: the architecture, the interface, and all the decisions between.

Architecture that lasts

Clear system design, maintainable code, dependable APIs, and performance that holds up in production.

Interfaces people enjoy

Thoughtful frontend work across web and mobile, with the small details that make a product feel right.

Practical AI features

Retrieval, embeddings, vector search, and model workflows shaped around real product needs.

Tools I reach for.

Different projects call for different choices. These are some of the technologies I work with most.

C#
.NET
Blazor
React
Xcode
Native iOS
Android
Next.js
Vue.js
TypeScript
JavaScript
Sass / SCSS
CSS
Azure
Astro

Also working with ASP.NET Core, SQL, React Native, and vector-backed applications.

Experience matters.
Curiosity matters more.

I’ve spent my career building and evolving production software, from business applications to modern web products. Today, alongside my work as a lead developer, I’m creating tools and experiences of my own.

My favorite work sits where sound engineering and a useful, human idea meet.
